Grocery Getter
/When you hear the words "Grocery Getter" you might be thinking mini-van, station wagon, or SUV. A Grocery Getter is the suburban dump trunk, right? It is the four wheels that get you to your local supermarket so you can grab the goods and get home. That's accurate unless your ride has Corvette power and is four-door cool. Then you might be driving a `96 Impala SS.
My wife's grocery getter and grandkid hauler is a jet black Jon Moss special. It sports Boyd Coddington's wrapped in Nitto NT505s. Under the hood, the LT1 350 breaths with the help of a functional ram air system and a set of BBK headers which send exhaust rushing through high-flo cats and a pair of magnaflows. 3.73 cogs provide lots of getty up when the light turns green.
Grandma's SS was on the way to Arlington, Texas and the Hot Rod Power Tour when we spotted this abandoned warehouse along Highway 70 in Arkansas.
